I have been an avid follower/reader of Mike Ruffin (best known as an internet author on Christian devotions) for several years now and have always enjoyed his down-to-earth and easy to read style of writing.  I have found his writing to be both inspirational as well as enlightening when it comes to the subject of God in everyday life.  So when Ruffin released his latest book,  Coffee with God, I was one of the first in line!

Ruffin’s book is a short (about 300 page) book on everyday problems that surface in daily life as well as motivational devotionals to help inspire and guide us through them.  The style of the book is perfect for a coffee break, a bedtime read, waiting in line at the store or any other time where you find yourself with about five minutes to fill with the word and love of God.

I really enjoy starting my day with the word of God and taking the first ten or fifteen minutes to reflect on the meaning on His words.  I have found that it really helps me set a positive tone for the day, as well as to keep a grateful heart.  This ten minutes in the morning is really quite possibly the best use of my time all day! The devotionals are written in an easy to understand fashion that Ruffin is so well known for and this book makes a great gift for someone else or to keep for yourself.
